Hope in the Storm: The Smathers’ Story

The recent flood in Western North Carolina brought devastation to many, including the Smathers. But with the help of volunteers from The Orchard Church, they were able to recover 90% of their property.

In this video, Jim Smathers shares how our church family stepped up when they needed it most. This is what it means to be the church to our community—loving well and serving those around us when it matters most.

We’re not done yet. There are still many families who need help, and we can’t do it without your support. Every donation helps provide food, shelter, and rebuilding assistance.

Watch their story, and if you’re able, please consider donating to help more families like the Smathers recover and rebuild.
