Prayer Ministry

Prayer is an essential part of the Christian Life.

A House of Prayer

In Matthew 21:13, Jesus said, "My house will be called a house of prayer." Pastor Stephen explains how The Orchard Church embraces this calling, intentionally focusing on prayer as a central part of our ministry.

Prayer Groups

Jesus said, “My house will be called a House of Prayer” (Matthew 21:13).

Join us on Wednesdays, beginning September 11, from 6:30-8:00 pm for the opportunity to grow closer to God and one another through prayer. By signing up for one of our many men’s and women’s prayer groups, you will have the opportunity to be prayed for, to pray for others, and to pray for the church.

We can’t wait to see how the Lord moves in His House of Prayer!

Need Prayer?

At The Orchard Church we understand that prayer is an essential component of the Christian Life to sustain both the individual and the corporate church. We do this through submitting prayer requests for the staff, prayer services and groups, and instruction on prayer.

Why do We Pray?

Relationship with God

Psalm 34:17-28
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

God hears us

1 John 5:14-15
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.”

God gives power through prayer

James 5:15-16
“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Special Prayer Time
Special Prayer Time

Several times per year, we designate special times of intentional prayer covering and instruction. Examples of these include times of communion as well as opportunities to pray within the community.

Mondays | Noon | The Orchard Church Offices

Moms In Prayer International impacts children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray. We are excited that there is a Moms In Prayer group at The Orchard. This group meets weekly at The Orchard Church offices to pray and cover the spiritual, physical, and mental needs for the children in our community, region, nation, and world!

War Room

Our desire is to have people in our War Room on Sunday mornings praying specifically for the worship, teaching, and salvation of souls while the services are taking place.
